Krewe de Tech is a group of users helping each other gain a better understanding of personal computing technologies and how to use them in productive ways. We have monthly general meetings and special meetings where you can learn more than you ever imagined.
Generally we hold our meetings at the Jefferson Parish East Bank Regional Library. Our General meeting, where we have presentations on topics of interest to our group, is the first Tuesday of the month. We also have "hands-on" meetings on the second and third Tuesdays. Of course we encounter situations (Mardi Gras, Government holidays, weather, etc.) where we have to reschedule, and/or relocate, so when in doubt check back here.
All of our meetings are open to the public. Anyone can attend meetings for three months before we ask you join. Membership is $40.00/yr for an individual, and $60/yr for a family.
Krewe de Tech was founded in 2017 as a Louisiana non-profit organization run by volunteers
Memberships run from October 1 through September 30 of the following year. You can renew at any of our meetings. If paying by check, make payable to 'Krewe de Tech'. Contact Treasurer, Mike York treasurer@krewdetech.org if you have any questions about your membership status.
At the November General Membership meeting we held elections for the officers and directors to lead KdT in 2020. The officers are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. In addition, we have three Directors at Large. These seven members constitute the Club's Board of Directors. Each member of the Board will serve from December 1, 2019 through November 30, 2020. The Board meets once a month, usually on the fourth Tuesday, at 6:30PM
We'd like to thank those who served us well in past and those who will lead us in upcoming year. If you'd like to serve in any other capacity you're in luck. We can always use more help on any of the committees. Get with any of the directors and we will find a job that best suits your interests and talents.
James Garvey (BESE) will talk about what works and what no so much.
